Amsterdam's canal ring is without question one of the most beautiful areas in our capital. It's not for nothing that this spot is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. With the most stunning buildings and remarkable views over the canals, you're guaranteed a unique workplace here. In this blog, we've selected some of the most beautiful buildings from the famous canal ring, all available to rent through Deskfinder!
Renting on Herengracht
This characterful canal house may well have one of the most colourful interiors in the city centre. Where one room's original period features have been restored in almost extravagant detail, another has been given a distinctly modern look. The rooms are connected by an elegant hallway, finished entirely in authentic light marble. Despite the age of this monumental building, the modern office user lacks for nothing here. The building has fibre-optic internet, meeting rooms and shared spaces. In short, a classic gem with a modern character.

A unique office building on Herengracht
The office building 'De Bary' consists of six interconnected historic buildings, located on the Golden Bend. The buildings have recently been restored and are therefore perfectly suited as modern office space! The building isn't just a picture from the front — behind it lies a beautiful, very rare company garden. On sunny days, you can just as easily work outside. If you rent this building, your neighbours will include established names such as the Goethe Institute, Hogan Lovells, Viktor & Rolf and Hammerstein Advocaten.

The new Kalenderpakhuizen on Achtergracht
On Achtergracht stands an impressive row of thirteen warehouses dating from 1723. Twelve of these warehouses are collectively known as the Kalenderpakhuizen (Calendar Warehouses), named after the months of the year. From the first quarter of 2020, ten of these twelve warehouses will be available as office space. Renovation work is currently underway, connecting the buildings internally and fitting them out as offices. This relatively short canal begins at Frederiksplein, giving it an excellent central location.
Keizersgracht, a place where you'll feel right at home
This location is the place to be for startups, entrepreneurs and freelancers. The monumental canal house on Keizersgracht is home to modern office space. The office has every convenience: lightning-fast internet, various meeting rooms, a staffed reception, and tenants can enter 24/7. Even better than the facilities is the community of enthusiastic entrepreneurs and companies that has gathered here. The great atmosphere is reinforced by the regular Friday afternoon drinks, afternoons on the company boat, and various workshops and events. A perfect place for a second home!

The perfect building for growing startups
Another great office for entrepreneurs is this one on Vijzelstraat. In the vibrant heart of Amsterdam, this building offers a range of workspaces, suitable for both freelancers and growing startups. The office has a dynamic layout, making it easy to connect with other entrepreneurs, while you can just as easily retreat to a private office. This dynamic means the spaces are full of creative energy. The location is also convenient, thanks to great accessibility and the various food and drink spots nearby for a cup of coffee or a fresh sandwich.

Office with striking architecture
Does the style of this building look familiar? It might, because its architecture was inspired by the iconic Rijksmuseum Amsterdam. This historic building has quite a history — it once served as a police station, but has since been completely renovated by 'Anders Design', a renowned Amsterdam design agency. Thanks to the unique blend of modern elements and authentic influences, it has become a truly distinctive office building. Whether you're looking for an office for two people or are interested in larger office space, Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal has it all!

Prefer a small, creative workspace?
Looking for a small-scale creative environment? Then this office building on Nieuwe Kerkstraat might be just right for you! Alongside standalone units, this office also has various spaces to work from. The building has recently been renovated and has an informal yet presentable look. An extra bonus: there's also a lounge where you can grab coffee and lunch!

An office building with history on Herengracht
This stately building on Herengracht was built at the start of the seventeenth century. It quickly earned the nickname Klockhuys, likely a reference to the facade stone depicting three bells. A century later, a new owner replaced the facade, after which architect De Bazel completely redesigned the interior in 1909. These stylistic features can still be admired here today. Located right next to the Nine Streets, this building sits in the heart of the beautiful canal ring. A wonderful place to do business!
