Zoetermeer station lies in Rokkeveen, right next to the A12. On the other side of the motorway is the Driemanspolder RandstadRail stop. The covered Nelson Mandelabrug bridge connects the two for pedestrians and cyclists. Offices here include those on the Louis Braillelaan and Boris Pasternaklaan in Rokkeveen, and on the Boerhaavelaan and Bredewater in Driemanspolder. Around the station the municipality is developing the new Entree district, with a program of around 7,000 homes.

Stadshart and Europaweg

The Stadshart is the center of Zoetermeer, with shops and homes and offices above them. The former ministry building on the Europaweg now houses the AIVD (General Intelligence and Security Service). • RandstadRail: HTM runs line 3 from The Hague Loosduinen to Zoetermeer Centrum-West and line 4 from The Hague De Uithof to Lansingerland-Zoetermeer. Both stop at The Hague Central Station.
• Car: the A12 runs through the municipality, with exit 6 (Zoetermeer-Centrum) and exit 7 (Zoetermeer). The N470 is an important provincial road.
