The Central Station area is the station district around Utrecht Central Station, between Utrecht City Center and the Jaarbeurs. According to NS figures, Utrecht Central Station is the busiest station in the Netherlands. The station has two sides, each with its own character:
You choose an office in the station district mainly for the train, tram and bus right outside the door.
On the city side, your office sits between the station and the historic city center. Rail infrastructure manager ProRail has its address on the Moreelsepark. Hoog Catharijne borders the station directly. Since 12 September 2020, the Catharijnesingel once again flows as a canal around the city center. Boats now even sail underneath Hoog Catharijne.
The large office buildings of the station district stand on the Jaarbeurs side. The Stadsplateau is home to the Stadskantoor, the city office of the municipality of Utrecht. It also has the WTC Utrecht, where providers such as Regus rent out furnished offices and flex desks. At Croeselaan 18 stands the Rabobank headquarters, a large mirrored building. The Rijksvastgoedbedrijf (Central Government Real Estate Agency) is expanding the De Knoop government office complex with three new buildings. The Jaarbeurs on the Jaarbeursplein is the exhibition and conference complex next to the station.

The Beurskwartier is the new urban district on the Jaarbeurs side of Utrecht Central Station. The municipality plans at least 2,500 homes, 5,000 workplaces and two parks. On the Croeselaan, Utrecht Central Plaza B.V. has been renovating the Hojel II office building since 2025. The building is getting more floor space and an atrium. On the Graadt van Roggenweg, Hojel I is planned as a mix of offices, homes and amenities. So for a building on the Croeselaan, ask which construction projects are underway on the street.
The station district is first and foremost a public transport location. Besides the train, you have these options:
By car, you park in a garage in the station district. On the city side are the Hoog Catharijne garages, directly beneath the shopping center. On the Jaarbeurs side is the Croeselaan garage, and the Jaarbeurs has its own parking. An alternative is P+R Westraven near the A12, with a light rail stop for the ride to the station.
