Description
‘De Munt’, the enormous warehouse near Lelystad Airport, was the epicentre of the euro rollout operation in 2002.
The exceptionally well-secured warehouse was built for De Nederlandsche Bank. Billions of euros were once stored here, which is why the building is popularly nicknamed the Scrooge McDuck warehouse.
After the introduction of the euro, approximately 250,000 works of art from institutions including the Rijksmuseum and Palace Het Loo were stored here.
Despite having been built in 1999, the building already boasts a rich history.
This unique location of approximately 16,486 m², with excellent facilities, is now seeking a new end user.
