SugarCity is a former factory site that has been turned into an area with offices, shops and an event venue. Halfweg’s sugar factory processed sugar beets from 1863 and closed in 1992. The two silos where white sugar used to be stored are now office buildings. The Poortgebouw was once the factory’s distribution center. So here you work in industrial heritage, on a site with several uses.
