Alphen aan den Rijn is the main town of the municipality of the same name in South Holland, on the Oude Rijn and the Gouwe in the Green Heart. The municipality has 10 business parks. According to the municipality, half of all jobs are directly or indirectly linked to one of those parks. Molenwetering is a business park on the west side of Alphen aan den Rijn. Molenwetering has office buildings on the Flemingweg, among other streets, including a business center. You are on the edge of town here, with the N11 towards Leiden and Bodegraven nearby.
An office near the station: Europaplein and Laan der Continenten
The Europaplein neighbourhood lies between the center and Alphen aan den Rijn station. On the Europalaan there is a business center within walking distance of the station, close to the De Atlas shopping center. The station has Sprinter trains to Leiden Central Station, Woerden and Utrecht Central Station, and the R-net train to Gouda. Qbuzz regional buses also stop here, such as line 470 to Schiphol.
Please note: from 12 October 2026 until mid-July 2027 no trains run between Alphen aan den Rijn and Bodegraven. The railway bridge over the Gouwe is being replaced. During this period NS runs buses between Alphen and Bodegraven.
