The station district is the area from the Keizer Karelplein to the Vijfknoop. In the regional agreements on offices, the area around the Central Station has been designated as the most future-proof office location. The municipality, national government, ProRail, NS and the province of Gelderland are working together on plans for the station and its surroundings. Nijmegen station has intercity trains to Arnhem, Utrecht, Amsterdam, Schiphol, The Hague and ‘s-Hertogenbosch, among others.
Nijmegen City Center
The city center is a major place of work, with 1,900 companies and more than 10,000 jobs according to the municipality. The municipality counts the center and the singels (ring boulevards) among its main office locations. There are six car parks in and around the center, including the Eiermarkt, Mariënburg and Keizer Karel car parks.
Heijendaal Campus
Heijendaal Campus is the area between the Sint Annastraat and the Heyendaalseweg where Radboud University, Radboudumc and HAN University of Applied Sciences are located. According to the municipality, the campus is the place for fundamental research. Nijmegen Heyendaal station was renewed in early 2025. An area vision sets out the layout of the campus up to 2040.
Novio Tech Campus and 52Nijmegen
According to the municipality, the Novio Tech Campus is a business campus for innovative entrepreneurs, on the Transistorweg in the Goffert district. On the corner of the Neerbosscheweg and the Nieuwe Dukenburgseweg stands 52Nijmegen, a prismatic office building by Mecanoo on the Jonkerbosplein. The building stands in the area around the NXP complex. Nijmegen Goffert station is in this area and opened in December 2014.
Brabantse Poort and Kerkenbos
Brabantse Poort is a business park in the De Kamp and Kerkenbos districts, south of the Tilburg-Nijmegen railway. The Takenhofplein forms its center. Kerkenbos is almost entirely business park, wedged between the A73, the railway, the IJpenbroekweg and the ‘t Broek district. Nijmegen Dukenburg station lies on the edge of Brabantse Poort.

Business parks in Nijmegen
Besides the four office locations, Nijmegen has large business parks, where you mainly find office space attached to business premises:
- TPN-West: one of the largest contiguous industrial estates in the Netherlands, on both sides of the Maas-Waal canal in Nijmegen and Weurt. According to the estate itself, more than 400 companies employ over 10,000 people. It has a large inland port.
- Winkelsteeg: a working area in the middle of Nijmegen, between the Maas-Waal canal, parks and businesses. The municipality wants to build more than 6,000 homes here and add 3,000 extra jobs.
- Bijsterhuizen: a business park on the west side of the city, partly on Wijchen territory.
Getting to Nijmegen by car and train
Nijmegen can be reached by car via the A73, A50, A15 and A325. The A73 runs from the Ewijk interchange along the west side of the city towards Venlo, with exits at Dukenburg and Wijchen. The A325 takes you to Arnhem. Besides Nijmegen station, the city has Sprinter stations such as Nijmegen Goffert, Nijmegen Dukenburg and Nijmegen Lent. Stopping trains towards Venray and Venlo call at Nijmegen Heyendaal station.
