About this Chapter

Not many people can say they work in a modernist masterpiece. This purpose-built mid-century office building changed the game when it was unveiled by renowned Dutch architects Benjamin Merkelbach and Mart Stam in 1957. Now the building nicknamed the Glass House has been meticulously refurbished for the demands of a new era of commerce, nevertheless retaining its original Mad Men-era charm, its smattering of balconies and the curtain wall of glass that floods the building with natural light. A perfect place for your bright ideas.

Stadhouderskade 85 has excellent transport credentials. The Vijzelgracht metro station is right on hand, with direct links to Amsterdam Centraal and Amsterdam Zuid railway stations.
